Looking for Research Participants – Reducing Mental Illness Stigma in Black Families and Communities (BFC) in Ontario, Canada

    Thank you for taking part in the BFC Study: Reducing Mental Illness Stigma in Black Families and Communities. This online survey aims to promote mental health and reduce mental illness stigma in Black Families and Communities. Therefore, sharing your knowledge and experiences in mental health and mental illness-related stigma will be helpful for us to understand the problems confronting Black Families and Communities to inform local and provincial policies. 

    Do you self-identify as: 

    • 18 years or older belonging to Black communities?
    • with/without lived experiences of stigma related to mental illness?
    • living in one of the project cities (Durham, London, Ottawa, Toronto, Brampton, and North York)?
    • fluent in English; and available for an online survey?

    If so, we invite you to take part in our study to share your knowledge, insight, and perspectives.

    Joining this study will involve taking part in a 30-40 minutes online survey on BFC mental health and mental illness-related stigma and strategies to reduce them. 

    Taking part in this study is entirely voluntary and private

    • You may withdraw at any time. You do not need to provide your real name.
    • You will receive a small honorarium ($25) when you complete the survey. 
    • The research team will keep the information you share private.
